Coupling K

Each oscillator sounds when its phase passes zero. Below the critical coupling they drift independently into a sparse, pointillist texture; above it they lock into dense aggregates. Pitches are 48 quarter-tone degrees across five octaves with inharmonic struck spectra. Every visit is a new realisation: the pitches are dealt to the oscillators in a new order, and the frequencies and the course of the coupling are drawn afresh.
